Spectrum Health, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit corporation organized to support the programs, services, activities and interests of Hospice of Palm Beach County, Inc., and its other affiliates. It serves as the parent corporation to Hospice of Palm Beach County, Hospice of Palm Beach County Foundation, Hospice of Broward County, Hospice of Broward County Foundation, The Medical Store, and South Florida Palliative Medicine Specialists. In addition, it oversees Spectrum Health Services, Inc., which drives endeavors for future operating practices and service offerings. Spectrum Health, Inc. will carry out its mission - “To facilitate growth and improve the value of any entity that is part of the system” – in an effort to increase access to exceptional healthcare and better prepare to meet the needs of our community.

Hospice of Palm Beach County, founded in 1978 as a not-for-profit 501(c)(3), has cared for more than 65,000 patients and families, averaging 1,200 patients daily throughout Palm Beach County. With the nation's most comprehensive hospice care program, we're dedicated to meeting every need and creating an individual plan of care that celebrates life and honors wishes, traditions and heritage. In all we do, we help our patients live fully and support families for the long term.
In 2011, the outstanding end-of-life care that has served the Palm Beach County community for more than 30 years became available in Broward County. Hospice of Broward County delivers the same philosophy, open access and exceptional quality of care to the Broward community. Our highly educated and trained professionals put the needs of patients and their families above all else, caring for everyone who needs and wants our services, without exception.
This 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization is dedicated to supporting the specialized programs and services offered by Hospice of Palm Beach County and other Spectrum affiliates. As the philanthropic arm for Hospice of Palm Beach County, it raises funds to support the many vital programs and projects that truly make a difference in the lives of others. The goal is to build an asset base substantial enough to positively impact the future of Spectrum Health, Inc., and particularly Hospice of Palm Beach County.
As a model Durable Medical Equipment and Services provider, The Medical Store is recognized for over 30 years of success. Their professional staff are multilingual and are continually updated and trained on the latest home healthcare technology. The Medical Store strives to guarantee the safety of patients and to provide solutions that offer maximum independence. The Medical Store accepts Medicare, Medicaid and most private insurances and is an accredited by The Joint Commission 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization.
South Florida Palliative Medicine Specialists (SFPMS) is the largest group of board certified palliative care physicians and nurse practitioners in South Florida. We are experts in palliative medicine - specialized medical care for people affected by serious, life-limiting illness - providing relief from the symptoms, pain and stress of serious illness at any stage. Our goal is to relieve suffering and provide the best possible quality of life for patients and their families.
New business endeavors, will in the future, provide supplemental revenue to help offset any decreases in Medicare reimbursement. As the umbrella to businesses such as these, Spectrum Health Services, Inc. will act as another supporting component for the Hospice of Palm Beach County family - all to increase access to care.
